A "Welcome Center" has been Talked About for Years... but Nothing Ever Comes of It. Why Is That???

Well... This Is a Project that We Can Make Happen! And It Is a Project that Will Be on The Top of The My "Things To Do" List.

Actually... What Needs to Be Done is to Turn the Area Just North of The Interstate 57 "Turn Off" Ramp into an Enterprise Zone. The Welcome Center is just The Center Piece. We Need to Get The Interstate Travelers "OFF" The Road... and to Our Doorstep! An Impressive Welcome Center Will Do Just That... and More.

What I Propose is Building a Welcome Center... in The Shape of a Pyramid! Yep... another Pyramid... but a Very Much Smaller One. But Still... Impressive Enough to Bring People off The Interstate.

Also... We Need to Have Other Business "close by" to The Welcome Center... to Take Care of Travelers and Tourist Wants and Needs.

Of Course... One of The Alternative Goals of The Welcome Center... would be to Lead Them Into Cairo... and Help Build Business in both Our Uptown and Downtown Areas.

The Pyramid Welcome Center Must Be High Enough to Be Able to See The Surrounding Three States and The Confluence of The Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. Combined with Ft. Defiance State Park... The Interest and Curiosity will be for Many... Simply Irresistible. And The Trek through Cairo Will Be Inevitable. Are You Getting The Picture???

Also... The Welcome Center Project Will Be a Precursor to The Giza Project and The Star Pyramid Project. The Success of The Welcome Center Project is Not Dependent on The Giza Project... but The Giza Project is Somewhat Dependent on It. The Welcome Center Is Very Very Very Important. It Is Something That is Within Our Reach to Create... and Will Be a Catalyst to Many Other Great Things for Cairo and Alexander County... and Little Egypt. We might Be Surprised at How Much Help We Can Get for The Project!

And... When The STAR PYRAMID WORLD MONUMENT is Finally Built... The Welcome Center Lookout Posts Will Be a Fantastic Scene for Travelers and Tourists to Enjoy. Actually... It Will Be Major Vantage Point for Viewing The "Building" of The Great Pyramid!

Obviously... It Will Be Necessary to Annex The Area of Interest... and Move The Cairo City Limits further North. This is In Itself a Major Project... and an Important One in The Future Growth of Cairo. Also... one of The Immediate Benefits will be Increased Revenue for The City... and More City "Services" for The Residents in The Newly Annexed Area. It Really Is a Win/Win Solution for Everyone.

Obviously... There is Much Planning Still to be done... but I Hope that The Whole Town will Take Part in The Brainstorming and Creative Birth of This Major Project. It Will Be Fun... and Will Do Much to Help Bring This Community Together in a Common Purpose.
