The Daystar  Care Center is a Jewel of Cairo... and Needs to Be  Cared For. Too many times... The "Caretakers" are Not Cared For Themselves... nor The Facility as a Whole. It is Not to Cairo's Interest to Neglect This Essentially Enterprise. They are Under Funded and Under Staffed... and They Need Our Help both from The Private and Political Sector.

Another Critical Need is for The Residents Themselves... and that is an Easily Accessible Source of Basic Living Items... such as Toiletries and Stationary and Various "Essentials". The Churches and Other Organization in Cairo do a Good Job in Providing many of The "Miscellaneous" Needs of The Residents... but it simply is Not Enough.

As a Response to This "Need"... I have come up with a "Plan" or Project to Address and hopefully effectively Resolve these Problems. And that is a "Gift Shop"... or Something to that effect. Not only would it be of Practical Value to The Residents and Staff... it would Provide Opportunities for The Town to Interact with and Contribute to The Security and Growth of The Facility. And if a Success... it may even Provide an Part-Time Income to some of The Area Youth. In addition, it could Serve some of The of The Needs of The "Non-Resident" Elderly in The Immediate Area.

At this Point... I have not Brought This Proposed Project to The Attention of The Daystar Administration. But I cannot see why there would be Any Reason to Not Support The Endeavor. Hopefully there won't be any Hang-Ups or Legalities that would hamper The Plan... but that is yet to be seen. "Knock On Wood"... and Keep Your Fingers Crossed.

Wouldn't it be Great to Have a "Cairo Web Site"... to keep abreast of This Endeavor???  :)
