Groucho Marx once said "Military Intelligence is a contradiction in terms". The Term "Military Intelligence" Is called an "Oxymoron". I am sure Someone Somewhere has also said "Responsible Government" is a Contradiction in Terms!

Then there was the guy who thought an "Oxymoron" was a Moron with 8 Heads! Hey... It's Understandable! Especially in Government Today!

Anyway... Responsibility In Government is Hard to Come By. Very Very Hard!

It's Not a Party Issue! Democrats and Republicans and Independents alike Know that It Is True. It's Not a Religious Issue. Protestants and Catholics and Jews All Agree! It's Not a Race or Sex or National Origin Issue! We All Know The Same Thing when it comes to Government Responsibility... That GOVERNMENT IS NOT BEING RESPONSIBLE TO THE PEOPLE!

So... If We All Agree on The Subject (Excluding The Oxymorons) then Why Can't We Change The Situation???

The Answer... is that on The Congressional Level... The Independent Voter Doesn't Have Much (If Any) Control and Influence. Corporations are Running This Country. And The States are Even Having a difficult time Exercising "States Rights". California is a Glaring Example!

To make matters Worse... Democrats and Republicans Continue with Their Partisan Politics and In-Fighting. And The Spin Doctors Successfully Keep Americans Confused and Disoriented... and "Divided". Consequently... "We The People" become Powerless to Effect Progressive Change through The Ballot Box. And even Our Voting System is Being Undermined... by Faulty Electronic Voting Systems... and Poorly Monitored and Supervised Voting Places. Soon... even Your Vote Won't Matter... and That (for all practical purposes) Will Make Grass Roots Politics Irrelevant. And That Troubles Me!

Politicians in Cairo have Historically been Guilty of "Buying Votes" and "Tampering With The Absentee Ballot". Who knows what else has been done? Whether or not Creating Multiple Voting Places is an Attempt to Practice Voting Fraud... I can't say. But it is not Wise for The Citizens to Allow It... and It Is Not Fiscally Responsible. Voting Booths should be Monitored 24 Hours a Day... by Trained Responsible Citizens! And The Job Should Be Made as Easy As Possible to Do. Be Very Suspect of Those Who Argue Otherwise.

Obviously, Responsible Government is One of My Main Concerns. Basically, we have a lot of Good and Honest People in both City and County Government. We Need to Help Them Do Their Job. The best way we can do that as Citizens is through Active Involvement in Politics. Know Your Politicians... and Know What They Do and Don't Do! Combined with Total Disclosure and Accountability... There Just Won't Be Any Place for The "Scoundrels" to Hide Anymore.

As far as Partisan Politics go... Truly Honest and Responsible Democrats and Republicans Know The Time is Long Past for the "In Fighting" between The Main Political Parties to Cease! It is Time to Grow Up... and Save America. It is Time for Corporations to Grow Up and Do Their Part (and many are). It is Time for The People to Grow Up... and Realize that Essentially it is "Up To Us". As Voters and Consumers... The "Power" Ultimately is "In Our Hands". We Have to Exercise It!
