There are many levels of "Activism"... from simply Expressing Your Views to Each Other... to Responsible Voting... to Being a Part of a Responsible Organization... to Personal Involvement in The Activities of the many "Rights" Organizations.

Some people are Involved more on The Local Level... and Some on The National Level. I Personally have been Involved Mostly on The National Level... on Issues of Human and Animal Rights... The Environment... and Self Expressions.

While I have been "Passively" Involved in Politics most of My Life... other than Voting I have not taken much of an Active Part in it. I have always felt that I could Effect "Issues" better from another Perspective. Also, I have always felt that "Effective Change" could be made with more of a National Approach... rather than Local.

I No Longer Think That!

While it is Vital that We Actively Take Part in Issues on The National and Even Global Level... it is also Critical that We are Actively Involved Locally. Especially, when it comes to Politics... this is True!

As Mayor...

I will not only be considerably More Actively Involved in Local Politics... but I will also Work to Encourage and Assist The Citizens of Cairo to become More Actively Involved Themselves. More Importantly... I Will Give Them a Reason to Be!
