I have been trying to Drive This Message in for Year and Years! It is The Foundation and Structure of Democratic Government. Citizens Simply Cannot Make Informed Decisions Without It.

Yet... We Still Don't Demand It Of Our Public Officials!
 

Why Is That???

If "We" Won't Stand Up for Our Right to Know... How Can We Expect Our Elected Officials To??? They Won't... If We Don't Demand It Of Them!

So... I Am Making This Issue an Integral Part of My Campaign. I hereby Promise You that I Will Do Everything In My Power as Mayor to Disclose All Public Information and to Ensure that All Public Servants within My Influence Are Accountable to The People and City in General.

That is Why I have been Promoting a Cairo Web Site so Much. It would above All Other Purposes... Be a Means of Disclosure and Accountability. And "That" is Why it has Never Been Well Received by Past Administrations... or This One. It Takes Away Power from Government... and Gives It To The People. It Reveals Incompetence and Injustice and Graft... and That is Scary as Hell... for Some!

People Make Mistakes. Politicians at times Make Poor Judgments. We All Do. No One Expects Perfection from Our Politicians. What We Do Expect though is Good and Honorable Intentions. 

Secure and Honest Politicians "Want" Their Constituents to Know What is Going On in Their Office. They Actively Keep The People Informed. Why Wouldn't They?
