Goals

Tourism is both a Short Term and Long Term Goal.

While it is Recognized as a Major Part of Cairo's Ongoing Economic and Social Future... it Remains for the most part... "Undeveloped".

One of The Problems with Cairo's Approach to Tourism... is that We Are Thinking "Inside The Box". We don't Approach The Opportunity from a Broader Perspective.

To get to The Point... Tourism has to Be Approached as an Area Endeavor... not Solely as a City One. More Specifically, Cairo has to Think in Terms of "Little Egypt" when it Considers Tourism... and Formulates Its Plans for Tourist Attractions and Economic Expansion. To Think Otherwise is to Invite Failure.

Most Importantly... The Mayors within The Little Egypt Area Need to Work Together as a Team in Order to Maximize Success for The Whole Area. The Phrase "United We Stand... Divided We Fall" definitely applies to The Situation.

Obviously, there Needs to Be a Web Site that is Dedicated to Tourism and The Little Egypt Area... not Only to Serve as a Source of Information and Guidance to Tourists... but to Network both The Public and Public Officials in Our Efforts to Promote and Develop The Little Egypt Concept and Business Model.

Also... it is Important for The Little Egypt Area that Historical Preservation is Continuously Considered in The Development and Expansion of The Little Egypt Endeavor. The Web Site will Greatly Contribute to that End.

I have taken it upon Myself to Initiate what I call The "People for Little Egypt" Project and Web Site. Hopefully, it will be seen as a Significant Tool in Developing The Little Egypt Tourist Trade... and will Attract Many Others Who would like to Formally Take Part and Contribute to The Web Site Itself and The Little Egypt Endeavor.
