Cairo... along with Little Egypt can Be One of The Entertainment Capital's of The World. If Fully Developed... The Little Egypt Area could Make Disney World look like a Theme Park!

With a Little Imagination... It Is Easy to Realize The Truth in The Above Statement. Just Takes a Little Visualization and Open Mindedness... and Optimistic Creative Thinking.

As You Explore My Web Site... You Will Notice that "Entertainment" is a Frequently Recurring Theme. The Reason... Is that It Is a Very Important Concept and Activity. It Is a Main Factor in The Recovery of Cairo. It Not Only Involves Personal Growth... but Social Growth. And for The City of Cairo... it Involves Increased Revenue... and Perhaps Survival of The City Itself.

Let Me Give You an Example of a City that Understands and Supports Entertainment and The Importance of a Projected "Attitude" of "Being Entertainers". That City is New Orleans... which in a lot of Ways is in The Same Situation Cairo is In. This is The Second Time New Orleans has found a Need to Turn to Tourism & Entertainment as Its Main Source of Revenue. The First Time was during the 1980s... when Its Petroleum Base of Revenue was Dying... and It Realized that It Had To Put All of Its Eggs into The Tourism and Entertainment Basket. It Made a Wise Decision... and did Just That... and The 90s Saw New Orleans Grow both Socially and Financially. Hurricane Katrina has put New Orleans once again in The Position of Having to Turn to Entertainment and Tourism for Its Salvation. Only "this time"... The Situation is More Desperate and Critical. But... They Will Pull It Off... and They Will Make It Happen. In "Their Minds"... They Have To! If In "Our Minds"... We Could Also Realize that "We Have To"... Then We Could Pull It Off too. We are more or less in The Situation New Orleans was in The "first time" they had to turn to Entertainment... in that They Weren't as Desperate. But now... as We Watch Them Rebuild Their City... with Little More Than a Small Stipend and Iron Will and Hope... We Can See What "Can Be Done" In Truly Desperate Times... with Determination, Vision and Community Involvement... and a Little Help from Their Friends across America.

But If We Watch Them... and with Complacency and Apathy... Do Nothing to Resurrect Our City... with Just a Small Fraction of The Intestinal Fortitude of New Orleans... Then I Hope We Feel Ashamed... and Realize that It Is Well Earned!

Our Time Has Come... and All The Pieces Are In Place! All We Need Now... Is To Get an Attitude and Just Do It! My Ideas and Visions and Plans are Just Starters... Just Primers to Give Us some Directions and Goals. It Is The People Who Have to Ad The Grist to The Mill. It Is Through The Inspiration and Imagination of The People of Cairo and The Little Egypt Area that The Ship Will Set Sail... and Eventually Journey to Its Destinations and Final Destiny.

As Entertainers... We Can Turn "Work" Into Fun. We Can Make People Happy with Friendly Laughter and Enjoyment. We Can Teach and Educate and Share History with Interested and Interesting People. We Can Learn Ourselves about Other People and Places and Things. We Can Be Proud of Our Heritage and even More Proud of The Future We Are Building for Our Community, Family and Children.

Why Would any Sane Person Want to Do Anything Else?  :)

Yes... It Will Require a Lot of Hard Work... for a Long Time. But In Our Labors We Can Be Rewarded with The Knowledge that We Are Making a Difference... and That Difference is a Great and Significant One. (And also Earn a Lot of Bread)!
