I Am Not a
Politician!
I Have No
Great Aspirations to Be a Politician! Public Servant... Yes!
Personally... I Think The Great Majority of Politicians are
Simply Clowns!
Of
course... there are "Good" Clowns... just as there are "Bad"
Clowns. But, none-the-less... to be a Politician... you
typically have to put on Your Own Particular Clown Outfit...
and go forth to Entertain The Public... and of course, spend
90% of Your Time and Energy in Office Campaigning for ReElection.
Perhaps
for Most Politicians... calling them "Clowns" is being way
too Nice, Polite and Considerate (Some are just Bad Jokes!).
But... since I am Campaigning for a Political Office... I
had better start getting My Clown Outfit together... and
start learning how to be "Politically Correct". Then
again... "Naw"!
How
about I just be an Honest and Responsible Public Servant?
You know... like was Constitutionally Intended!
Not that
I won't "Clown Around" a bit now and then. You know what
they say... "Laughter is the best medicine". And of course,
without a highly developed Sense of Humor... The Realities
of Today's World would be Impossible to Navigate. Being "Over
Serious" is not a Good Policy. But Being "Very Sincere"... is a
Necessary Political Requirement.

Being "Politically Correct"
While
I think it is Vitally Important to "Take The
Gloves Off" in Dealing with Our Current Mess of
Politicians (especially in Congress)... The Fact
Remains that there are Still Many Good to Great
Politicians in Office... Still Fighting for
Human Rights & Interests... The Environment...
and The Preservation of both The Spirit and
Letter of Our Constitution.
We
are Fortunate in Southern Illinois to have a Few
of Those Dedicated and Honorable People
Representing Us... rather than Themselves,
Various Interest Groups, and Corporate America.
Also... It is one of those "Reasons" that I
might just have a Political Future in Cairo and
The Southern Illinois Area. :)
Then
Again...
